| Steve Byrkett |
| Steve Byrkett has lived in new Palestine for 36 years with his wife Cindy. He is the father of 3 daughters and has been involved with homeschooling since 1985. Steves passion for the multi-generational discipleship vision is evident as you hear him speak. He understands that for this God given vision to continue it is necessary that we do our best, by Gods grace, to hand the baton to the next generation well.
Steve and Cindy serve on the IAHE Board of Directors.

| Cheryl, along with her husband Jeff, have a family owned business, Heavenly C. Publishing, that has family as its focus. Their business works in conjunction with Heavenly C. Ministries for the World under the direction of Elder Jeff and Cheryl Cook. Their passion and heartbeat is to see young people empowered with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With this focus, God has given them an encouragement ministry for parents. Their materials help parents in their God given roles as well as help to build character, encourage lives of prayer and growing in truth for young people. They home educate their two children. |
| Dianne Craft |
| Dianne will give all six workshops from her Struggling learner conference. She is a former homeschool mom with 25 years experience teaching children who struggle with learning, Dianne Craft received both her bachelors and masters degrees in special education. She is also a Certified Natural Health Professional and works with children who are experiencing struggles such as ADD/ADHD learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Sensory Integration Issues, Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and Turner Syndrome. She approaches these problems in a unique way& looking for the solutions along with the common compensations for the problem, discovering the reason for childrens struggles with learning and behavior has long been a passion of Diannes. In 1988, she created the Brain Integration therapy for children workshop for parents, educators, psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists. Since 1997, she has worked as an educational diagnostician and homeschool consultant in her private practice, Child diagnostics, In c., in Denver, Colorado. Dianne has also authored a manual on brain therapy and a phonics reading book and has produced an audio and video series. She is one of HSLDAs Special needs coordinators. Dianne lives in Denver with her husband Ron, a CPA.

| Greg Fowl is the father of 4 children and grandfather of one. Together with his wife of 30 years, Kathleen, he serves on the IAHE Board of Directors. The Fowls served as IAHE Region 13 Representatives for 11 years prior to joining the board in 2007. Greg and Kathleen have been home educators for over 23 years and they are passionate about multi-generational discipleship and for sharing this vision inside and outside of the home educating community. Greg owns a business in Muncie, Indiana. In answer to God's call, their family has recently moved to Texas where Greg has joined his son, Michael, working with Vision Forum Ministries.

| A home schooling mom of 6, Lisa is passionate about keeping the discipling of her children the main focus of their home school. Fifteen years of home schooling has taught her the humbling fact that successful home schooling has much more to do with her obedience and walk with the Lord than any curriculum she might use. Lisa serves with her husband, Tom, as IAHE Regional 14 Representatives: a position that they have held for three years. She is a speech coach for Indy proclaim Speech and Debate Club and leads a support group, GRACE@home.

| Chris Hogan is president of Noble Call Institute. As a coach and consultant, Chris challenges CEOs to become noble leaders and assists them in developing balanced life plans, to succeed in their most important relationships, to solve pressing issues, and prioritizing their time, talents, and treasures. Chris works with men because when men are strong, families become strong, when families are strong, churches become strong, when churches are strong, the nation becomes strong. Chris has a degree in business management and has life experience as a business leader, a ministry leader and communicator. He and his wife, Anne, have nine children who range in age from thirteen to a few months. Chris and Anne have aspired to use their home as a center for ministry and discipleship. As a couple, their goal is to disciple families by helping others turn their homes into centers of family worship, learning, health, hospitality, and productivity thereby strengthening the family, church and nation.

| Kathy Balke and Debby Freeland |
| Pat and Kathy Balke began homeschooling in 1986 when their first-born became school aged. Although they began with the mindset to take one year at a time, they very quickly learned to love the homeschooling lifestyle. They have since graduated four of their children, and have two left in their homeschool. Kathy loves to help new homeschoolers get started in this great adventure, and to encourage them that they CAN do it. She has also helped lead a Charlotte mason support group for about 12 years.
Pat and Kathy serve as IAHE Region 4 Representatives.
Debby Freeland is passionate about home education. Since 1992, she has enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that the Indiana laws offer because she can teach with a Christian worldview. Serving with her husband, John, as IAHE Region 2 Representatives, they are in contact with the support groups throughout the region and answer questions of new homeschoolers as needed. She loves God, her husband, her two daughters, reading books, and assisting with Nazarene Bible quizzing.

| Kathleen will speak on The Right Start to Critical Thinking in Math and Math Card Games Thrills vs. Math Drills Activities for Learning, Inc. is the proud developer and provider of RightStart Mathematics. This curriculum uses the AL Abacus to provide a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic experience. The elementary and intermediate program lessons guide the teacher day by day and year year, helping children understand, apply and enjoy mathematics while surpassing state standards. The Al Abacus is grouped in fives and tens for quick recognition of quantities. Children develop visual strategies as they use this manipulative. The back side of the AL Abacus teaches place value to the thousands. Practice is provided with math card games, minimizing review worksheets and stressful flash cards, presenting a variety of repetition, and creating hours of fun learning math facts and concepts. Understanding and problem solving are emphasized throughout the curriculum.

| After practicing fourteen years as a CPA, Diane Lockman cheerfully surrendered her career so that she could disciple her children and give them the classical Christian education that she never received in the public school system.
In her compelling book, Trivium Mastery: The Intersection of Three Roads, Diane redefines classical home schooling. Additionally, her website, The Classical Scholar (http://classicalscholar.com), provides a wealth of ideas for transitioning to an authentic classical education. When she's not writing, managing the kids' education, or teaching live classes, Diane enjoys sewing period costumes like her recent My Fair Lady and Lord of the Rings designs.

| Residing in Hollsopple, Pennsylvania, Jim Stobaugh and his wife Karen, have home educated their four children since 1985. Jim has a strong burden for the new leadership group that God is calling forth from the home schooling community. He has written the well received SAT and College Preparation Course for the Christian Student as well as a 10 volume Language Arts Critical Thinking literary series, an American history unit study, and two new books: Fire That Burns but Does Not Consume: Devotions for Thoughtful Christians and A Companion to 50 Classics. Jim received his D. Min. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. |

| Ken Ham |
| The president and founder of Answers in Genesis-U.S. and the highly acclaimed Creation Museum, Ken ham is one of the most in demand Christian speakers in North America. Ham, a native Australian now residing near Cincinnati, Ohio, is also the author of numerous books on the book of Genesis, the accuracy and authority of the Bible, dinosaurs, and the destructive fruits of evolutionary thinking. He appears frequently on American TV and BBC network, as well as giving numerous faith-building talks to tens of thousands of children and adults each year. Ken and his wife, Mally, have five children and four grandchildren.

| Doug Phillips is the founder and director of Vision Forum, a discipleship and training ministry, that emphasizes Christian apologetics, worldview training, multi-generational faithfulness, and creative solutions whereby fathers can play a maximum role in family discipleship. He is a passionate communicator with a heart for home education and the restoration of Christian family and culture to the glory of God. As a constitutional attorney, Doug served six years at Home School Legal Defense Association and as Director for the National Center for Home Education. Doug and his wife, Beall, have eight children - Joshua, Justice, Liberty, Jubilee, Faith Evangeline, Honor, Providence, and Virginia Hope. They live in San Antonio Texas.

| John is the Executive Director of Summit Ministries. A popular speaker at camps, conventions, and conferences, he works annually with thousands of parents, teachers, and students on developing a Biblical worldview, understanding comparative worldviews, defending the Christian faith, applying a Biblical worldview to education, and engaging important cultural issues. Since joining the Summit team in 1999, John has directed the Summit conferences in Tennessee, Ohio and Virginia. John holds an M.A. in Christian Thought from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is on the Biblical Studies faculty at Bryan College (TN). He and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Abigail and Anna, and live in Manitou Springs, CO.

| Marilyn Durnell |
| For many years, Marilyn has taught elementary and secondary science and math to home schooled children. In 1998, she co-authored with Dr. Jay L. Wile of Apologia Educational Ministries the biology textbook specifically designed for home schooled children - Exploring Creation with Biology. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Marilyn was recognized in Whos Who Among Americas Teachers in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Marilyn, along with her husband Stan, currently serve on the IAHE Board of Directors.

| John Notgrass graduated from high school at home in 1997. He encourages other young people to appreciate the blessings of home and to use their talents to make a positive impact in the world. John promotes the lessons of history through historical presentations and works as a partner in the Notgrass Company, his family's homeschool publishing business. He lives with his parents, four sisters, brother, and grandfather in Gainesboro, Tennessee.

| Ray and Charlene Notgrass are the homeschooling parents of six children, including three homeschool graduates. They help parents to be confident in their homeschooling and to enjoy the freedom of training their children according to God's Word. Since 1999, the family has operated The Notgrass Company, which assists families in creating a learning lifestyle approach to homeschooling. Their publications include Exploring America: History, Literature, and Faith; A Record of the Learning Lifestyle; Creating a Sense of Wonder; In the News, a monthly current events unit study, and many others. The Notgrass family lives in Tennessee.

| Diana and her husband, Donald, are the parents or 7 children who have always been home-schooled. Child number 7 came when Diana was 46 years old! Keeping up with the interests of the children provides a life style of excitement and joy. From their daughter's mission work in Cambodia, to infant care, their lives are blessed and challenged on a daily basis. Together the Ruarks own and operate Nature's Workshop Plus. For relaxation, Diana performs with the newly formed Hendricks Symphony Orchestra as principal bassoon and serves on the Board of Directors for the Hendricks Symphonic Society.
